Allow me to introduce myself…

Hey there, I’m Erika

Hosting Dreams, Creating Memories.

Fell into the world of property management organically—what began as a small cleaning company, Blue Crush Cleaners (named after the iconic surfer film), quickly evolved into something much more. As I worked closely with homeowners, it became clear there was an opportunity to offer a more thoughtful, full-service hospitality experience—one that truly supports both owners and guests.

I started Blue Crush Cleaning in 2014 as a side job while working full-time at Wolf in the Fog. What began as a one-woman operation—riding my bike between cleans—quickly grew through word of mouth and a strong reputation for care and reliability.

Over the years, that foundation has evolved into something much bigger. Today, Blue Crush is an incorporated, fully licensed property management company with a direct booking platform and Consumer Protection insurance—built to support both homeowners and guests at a high level. We’re constantly evolving, always looking for ways to lead within the rental industry while staying grounded in the values that built us from the start.

Having lived in Tofino for over a decade, I know this rugged, wild West Coast intimately. That connection to place influences everything we do, from how we prepare homes to how we guide guests through their stay.

Giving back to the community is at the heart of everything I do. From volunteering as a firefighter to serving as a director for Tourism Ucluelet, and supporting local festivals and events, I’m passionate about contributing to the place that has given me so much. Through Blue Crush, we also donate 2% from every booking to local initiatives—ensuring each stay has a positive impact beyond the home itself.

I genuinely love this industry—the ability to shape meaningful travel experiences while helping homeowners share their spaces is something I find incredibly rewarding.

Whether you’re looking for the perfect West Coast getaway or hoping to share your home with the world, I’d love to help you do it with intention.

Our Crushers

On the operational management team we have Tesla, who joined our team in September 2025 as Blue Crush's first Manager. Born in Peterborough Ontario, she originally moved to Tofino in 2019 and then pursued van life, building out a Sprinter van and traveling. Gaining experience in the Canadian Rockies for many years at various hotels within the Banff Lodging Company  With ten years of cleaning experience, including running her own cleaning business on the East Coast of Vancouver Island, Tesla is now looking to develop her management skills back in the town she fell in love with. She decided to join our team to take that leap! In her free time, she enjoys drawing, painting, and beach walks.

Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Scott grew up alongside his older brother who took a fatherly role, developing a strong work ethic early on. His professional journey began in the culinary world, where he started as a dishwasher and worked his way up —eventually earning his Red Seal certification. His culinary career took him across the country, with experience in Nova Scotia, Toronto, Calgary, and Banff.

When the pandemic hit in 2020, like many others seeking a new pace and a fresh start, Scott made the move to Vancouver Island. He continued honing his craft at Shelter in Tofino before deciding it was time for a change from late nights and kitchen intensity. That shift led him to Ocean Village, where he spent over a year and a half taking on a variety of roles—from pools and grounds to front office and cleaning—gaining a deep understanding of hospitality from the inside out.

Blue Crush was lucky enough to bring Scott onto the team in 2022, and he’s been an integral part of our crew ever since. As a lead cleaner, quality checker, and trainer, Scott brings precision, pride, and a calm dependability to every shift.

He loves Tofino—the weather, the people, and the strong sense of community—and is especially proud to have his daughter living here full-time to experience the same coastal magic that won him over.

Born and raised in Paris, Ontario, Alex grew up as one of four siblings and quickly stood out as a natural performer. She dedicated her early years to dancing, skating, and competitive gymnastics—eventually taking her talents to the international stage as a dancer. A woman of many gifts and endless curiosity, Alex brings passion and creativity to everything she does.

In 2022, she made the move to Vancouver Island, spending time exploring its coastal communities before falling in love with Tofino—and finding her home at Blue Crush. Since joining the team, Alex has steadily worked her way up through the ranks, now supporting our operations through administration and lending a hand with cleaning whenever needed. Her reliability, enthusiasm, and warm energy make her an essential part of our crew.

Outside of work, you’ll spot Alex on the beaches with Kevin, her loyal four-year-old Australian Shepherd who insists on being wherever Alex is. Whether she’s organizing behind the scenes or enjoying the coastal lifestyle, Alex brings dedication, heart, and a touch of adventure to everything she does
